Meet my EIM Blog… June 23, 2009

This is my third attempt to create a regular blog on Enterprise Information Management(EIM)…

The first two didn’t materialize as I was trying to identify a catchy name and title to kick-start the blog.  Also, there was no clarity on the structure I would like to adopt and what to write, where to start, how to build, etc.

Ironically, these are the very same questions every business asks itself when it wants to manage the chaos in which its information is born, bred and dead everyday.

Over time,  since the advent of computers, information has primarily resided in the form of data in a database for businesses. This was working fine…until…Mr. Tim Burners Lee wrote Hello World!

While it surely isn’t a Pandora’s Box, Mr. Lee had connected the world in a way that Paper, Morse Code and the Telephone never did. Information was released with such a force that no one had time to prepare.

Through this blog and series of posts, I aim to guide you through the Information Management maze; using simple language as i break down terminologies like document management, records management, content management, capture systems, litigation imaging, archiving, etc.

It is time to meet Information Management… Welcome!

Hey Sanooj, great new layout. This is definitely much better than the previous one and gives the blog a more professional look.
